Many cities.
Many books.

A book made of many books: written together in many European cities and followed live online. The result is one city guide per city.

The narrator is Roland A. Puck himself. All other voices are AI-generated roles. For the flight attendant we would love Pam Ann, for the finale Graham Norton. We are still going to ask them both.

A city is best told by those who love it.

There are enough travel guides. edition.city / book collects something else: the addresses, the people and the small habits that make a city worth living in. Told by those who call it home.

Love may be the answer. Kindness is how you give it.

How the book is made

Not a publisher describing a city from the outside, but an open writing process that many contribute to and everyone can follow.

  1. 01

    One city, one book

Every city gets its own volume, with its own signature and its own conviction.

  2. 02

    Written together

People from the city contribute: merchants, hosts, creatives and everyone who knows their city well.

  3. 03

    Read along live

The book is written online and in public. Chapter by chapter, you can watch it grow.

  4. 04

    A city guide

The result is one city guide per city, carried by love for one's own city and the joy of doing things together.

The first cities

What applies to every book

The same principles as for all editions of edition.city.

  1. Recommendations are not for sale. Where money is involved, we say so.
  2. Contributors are named. Expertise has a face.
  3. We challenge positions, never people.
  4. We write with love for the city, not with an eye on clicks.
